Re: Steam boiler safety valve failure?
I can confirm that my issue was resolved by replacing the triac. The boiler was constantly overheating, even though the boiler light was turned off. This was the recommended action by Chris Coffee, as well. The $36 part set me right: https://www.chriscoffee.com/products/triac-vivaldi?variant=1178221...

Re: Steam boiler safety valve failure?
So far, I'm turning the power on in the morning and it hasn't repeated yet. Chris Coffee also said to take note if the boiler light is solid or flashing next time it happens.
I'll update this thread next time I can catch it happening.

Re: Steam boiler safety valve failure?
Chas, I noticed today my steam boiler gauge was very much in the red. I turned off the machine, waited sometime, turned back on, disabled the boiler. Then I turned the boiler back on and it stopped overheating. So now it seems that my machine sometimes overheats the boiler and other times doesn't. W...

Steam boiler safety valve failure?
Hello! I have a 2007 vintage and the most awful barking noise is coming from the steam boiler once in a while. I assume that this is the safety valve opening. It does not happen very often and just started last week. When plugged in, I haven't caught the pressure gauge going above 1.2-1.4 bars yet, ...

Re: Filter replacement o ring
Chas. There is many size differences. 3 1/2 to 5 1/4" when I google. Also, it wasn't clear if they are id or od or need a certain width.:)
I rather not take it apart without having the parts, so I'll just order from CC.
Thanks guys.

Re: Damaged Boiler Temperature Alarm
Chas. I started to check out my machine and I noticed that one of the leads to the heating element was burned and came out of the spade connector. I cleaned up the wire and crimped on a new connection. Back in business! I'm very thankful I didn't have to plow anymore money into this machine. My wife...

Damaged Boiler Temperature Alarm
Hi, I'm getting 19-20-21. Does this mean my steam boiler heating element is broken or the probe or both? Just 3 months ago, I replaced this: https://www.chriscoffee.com/Vivaldi_Coffee_Boiler_Heating_Element_p/7476.htm https://www.chriscoffee.com/La_Spaziale_Temp_Sensor_for_Coffee_Boiler_p/7483.htm N...

Re: Broke copper tube off flow meter, part #?
thanks, chas. I'll call chris coffee and hopefully this will be the last repair. I've had to fix my group heating element and clean the flow meter too. Chris coffee said my group solenoid might be bad too. This machine has been in storage and moved a couple times. I'm surprised the heating element b...

Broke copper tube off flow meter, part #?
Hi, I was repairing a block in my flow meter. When putting back on the outlet copper tube (that runs to the group boiler) the nut on the tube sheered off. I'm surprised this happened, but I have a 10 year old machine.
Does anyone know the name or part number of this copper tube?
Thanks.
