Re: Steam Boiler Issues -- and Gicleur Valve Question

You cannot take it out with the control board in the way like it is in your picture. That is a needle valve so it requires space to pull it out. Once the nut is removed and the valve is loosened all of the way you can pull it out.

There may not be a guide but there are hundreds of posts on here about working on the machine. There are plenty of posts before mine but I have a bunch of posts on here with pictures about what I did to mine. You can also run it from a pitcher if you want to get it going before you plumb it.

Can you add a picture of the adapter in your pump? Someone please correct me if I am wrong, because I am in no way an expert, but the actual adapter that is screwed into the inlet side of the pump on most machines is 3/8 BSPP (into pump):1/4 BSPP (into hose). Since I have a bunch of posts in regards to what I have done to the machine I thought I would summarize the main points in one thread. Where did you put the foil? On the rubber button side? It may be a stupid question but I'm not sure if the rubber button is always touching the board, and the pressure squishes some connections together, or the rubber is just off of the button and then with the foil it will bring the foil in contact...

I will comment on this since I am running my machine from a container at the moment and it works fine. This problem is a pump losing its prime. So I finally put my machine back together and have it drawing from a water container. I adjusted the pump to 8.5 BAR and the needle is steady. Long story short, I am finally using the machine now, drawing water from a container, and the steam is fine.
