Re: HOWTO: Installing a power-on timer on your S1 (Request)
12 1/2 years later I finally have done this! :) Thanks to bgour for the support. Settled on an esp8266 + relay, which per this thread was soldered to the pins on the back of the button board. Perhaps ~2 hours build/install time if you move efficiently. I used the example Wemos relay code to start an...

Re: Proper alignment of output line for pump replacement
Teflon tape acceptable? Didn't seem like there was any on it from the factory circa 2006

Proper alignment of output line for pump replacement
Long time owner and S1Cafe person, just not active. Had to replace the pump and motor due to the dreaded leak and corrosion issues. Everyone that said this is easy, I would hate to see what you think is hard. Anyhow... any tips to get the 90 degree elbow on the pump output to face towards the back o...

Re: Confirming part # for steam boiler pressure relief valve
So, is there an o-ring/gasket that is supposed to also go with that Vacuum Breaker Valve? I cannot get it tightened down enough to stop leaks even with teflon tape.

Confirming part # for steam boiler pressure relief valve
Hey guys, back again.... so I completely descaled the steam and group boilers, sounds and looks (internally) much nicer now! Bad news is that what I assume is a pressure relief valve on the steam boiler started leaking and now completed popped! I was going to order a new one but wanted to confirm it...

Re: S1 V1 temp sensor o-ring?
For fun, here's my setup (still). I did add progressive pre-infusion, modify the Macap M4 to stepless and change knockboxes in 2008 though.

Re: S1 V1 temp sensor o-ring?
Yea, has been a wicked long time! We've used the S1 pretty much daily since we bought it in Dec 2005 with only minor problems overall. Great purchase, money well spent.

Re: S1 V1 temp sensor o-ring?
chas,
Yea, it's the new stubby part 8919. Thanks for that part #, I have the new PDF now. Looking at it, I agree that I could get away with just teflon tape at least until I confirm it and see what o-ring I need.
thanks!

S1 V1 temp sensor o-ring?
Hey folks, long time owner of an original S1 V1 but haven't been on the forum in a long time. I had some steam leaking out of the steam boiler, tracked it down to the temp probe which was replaced once before a few years back. The cause was a cracked o-ring. Is there typically an o-ring on the steam...
