Standby light flashing but not turning on
I've just tired to reinstall after a number of years in hibernation. It had been plugged in the whole time but never used. I've got the standby light flashing but pushing on/off for any 3 / 5 / 10 seconds isn't doing anything. It feels like the button isn't working but is there anything I can check?

What are your thoughts on the shower screen? I've got one but I'm not sure it does anything beyond make a very pretty water pattern.

Re: Mini is leaking
Is the longer nipper for the water tank a standard la spaz part or is this a Chris coffee special?

We have lift off. After lots of increasingly firm button pressing it lives :)

Re: Blinking, but not turning on
I didn't explain that properly did I :)
I'm pushing the on/off button for 10+ seconds but I'm getting no response. Do buttons break or is there any reset I can do?

Blinking, but not turning on
My s1 mini has been out of action due to tank seals becoming a bit leaky. I've just replaced but it isn't powering up as it should. Standby led is blinking and when I unplug and power back on three yellow LEDs flash once. Is there any simple thing I can check?

Re: New owner v1 mini
I'd had that idea about switching over the mechanical part - thanks for the link.
The machine is a 2007 and is in v2 mode so the hope it was stuck in v1 mode is gone.

Re: New owner v1 mini
I currently have a v1 mini with pre infusion and the v2 board.
The mkii is the one I'm looking at buying. I can probably take a guess based on asking about yellow/green leds on power up and also the age of the machine.
Cheers

Re: New owner v1 mini
I've been enjoying my mini for about 18 months but I've got the chance to buy a v2 and plumb it in. The v2 owner states it doesn't have pre infusion, but I thought all v2s came with the new board. Could it be he has it set in v1 mode or did some v2s ship with v1 boards?

Re: low-no pressure at brew head, boiler fine
My machine is a mini but I guess the water input at pump is still valid? Just realised after you mentioned it that I didn't say about the pump before. Edit: got flow again after taking tank in and out a few times. Water is cutting out after a couple of seconds rather than the normal for single/doubl...

Re: low-no pressure at brew head, boiler fine
I'd been having intermittent low to no pressure at group head and I think it I've diagnosed to a sticky opv. A quick adjustment back and forth and all is now well. Would this fit with your description? I don't think I would call the OPV sticky. It consists of a stiff spring that has a rubber cap on...

Re: Pressure fluctuations. Unable to hold it!!
2 days later its returned :( I tried a descale to see if that would help and it did until I did a backflush and then the problem returned.

Re: Pressure fluctuations. Unable to hold it!!
Had a similar problem with my machine tonight. Thought I'd remove the tank filter before taking apart and it's cured :)
Having read all the above it does seem likely there is another cause that may cause it to reappear.

New owner v1 mini
Hello, I picked up a 2008 v1 last weekend and have been finding my way around the machine. I have to say thanks for the manual and cheat sheet posted on here. I've just found about the v1/v2 switch and my machine does have the v2 board  and after a look under the bonnet I also have the pre inf...

Re: temp adjustment
Thanks for the info. I've just discovered my recently acquired 2008 v1 has the v2 board in it.
Now to read some more and find out what I've won.
