Re: Mini 2 Won't Pull Shots
I pulled the reservoir, pulled the filter, washed everything down, reassembled and tried again. After a few runs its working again. Not sure what the issue was. I did get three yellow lights on one attempt, but I think that was because the feed hose was pinched after I reassembled the reservoir.

Re: Mini 2 Won't Pull Shots
Water does come through if there's no coffee but it slows down after a bit.

Mini 2 Won't Pull Shots
We just got back from vacation and i had powered my Mini V2 down while we were gone. So it's been a little while since I've tried to pull a shot and when I went to try it this morning I had some issues. After what should have been enough time there was still no espresso coming out, so I thought the ...

Re: Drips of Water and Wet Pucks
Hey I just pulled the screens off and was going to put the clean set in, but I forgot how they go in. Larger screen is on top, but are they flipped so the edge curves up for both or does the large one on top curve down while the smaller one on the bottom curves up?

Drips of Water and Wet Pucks
So over the last couple days I've noticed that when I am done pulling a shot there is water on top of the puck when I pull out the PF. It's not alot, more like a thin layer of coffee slurry, but I've only started seeing this recently. Around the same time I noticed that during the shot there may be ...

Re: Share your Coffee buying routines!
+1 on the Behmor roaster. I usually roast 10oz batches and use them in a couple days, but that's mostly because my roasting and palette are not sophisticated enough to notice an issue with using the coffee for both espresso and pots of drip/pour over. As for buying I usually buy 10-15lbs of green be...

Interesting information, and another reason for me to enjoy an Americano once in a while. :)

Re: Controlling Nutation
I've got a La San Marco SM90 grinder which works well, but makes a huge mess when dosing and doesn't work well for switching back and forth between espresso, drip and pour over so im thinking about a Vario-W to keep things cleaner and fit all my grinding needs. As for the nutation, I typically go ro...

Re: Tamper suggestions
Thanks for the feedback, slo. I have read not to tap the sides so I had been kinda of sweeping the side with my finger and then re-polishing it to work those few grounds into the top of the puck. The c-curve tamper sounds interesting. I may look into picking one up even if it's so I have more than a...

Re: Tamper suggestions
Thanks JohnB. So when your tamper leaves that thin wall of grinds do you pull the shot with it still there or scrape it down and work it into the puck with a polish?

Re: Tamper suggestions
When I bought my Mini from Chris Coffee I also ordered a 53mm Cafelat Royal tamper. I like the look and feel of it, but the first tamp always seems to leave a thin wall of grounds around the inside of the basket that I have to knock down and incorporate into the puck with a second polish. I don't kn...

Re: Happiness Delayed :(
Ok, six or seven double shots later and I think I have her dialed in. So I made my wife and I a couple lattes and she's in heaven. The milk turned out better on hers but I had to stop short on mine before it overflowed. 6.5oz in a 12oz pitcher fills fast. So next time I'll try to start with 5oz, but...

Re: Happiness Delayed :(
Everything else arrived today and she's heating up as we speak. Good eye on those that noticed it was the older version of the Mini II. I bought it from Chris Coffee Services "Buyers Remorse" offerings. Someone had bought it and returned it for one reason or another. Their techs give every...

Re: Happiness Delayed :(
Oddly enough it wasn't in this box, so HOPEFULLY it is in the box with the other stuff I bought. I'll have to contact CCS if it's not in today's delivery.

Happiness Delayed :(
I was ecstatic when I checked the UPS Web site today from work today to see my Mini was arriving a day early. I rushed home after work, got it opened, paused to enjoy its beauty and then proceeded to get it set up. Alas, the 15amp converter cord is in the second box which arrives on schedule tomorro...

Re: Mini running off a flojet
Did anyone ever get this running? My Mini is arriving on Tuesday from Chris Coffee and I'd be interested in seeing how viable it is to plumb the Mini even though the reservoir is likely going to be sufficient for my needs.
