Hey Chas,

Glad to hear you like them, too. Unfortunately, they've stopped doing SOEs for awhile, but I keep bugging them, and I'm hoping they start up again soon. Their regular faire, Destroyer (formerly Caffe Vincente) and Mass Appeal (formerly Sweet Cheeks) are quite good in the meantime.

Bon Ami's "motto" for their powder cleanser is "hasn’t scratched yet®," so it may be just fine. It is nowhere near so abrasive as I remember Comet being. Are you doing the "wiggle?" I wish the Cafelat group brush was available in the Vivaldi's grouphead size. I'm certain that anyone who knows their way around a pair of pliers could made it work. Thanks, Chas! I was hoping someone had it & would chime in. I'll grab one in my next order from Chris.

Dish soap will work. But if you are picky about your coffee (as you should be if you are using a very good machine, grinder and coffee), then you don't want the "lemon fresh scent" or any other dish soap taste to cover your screens since it may end up in your cup. Note how the 45 minute warmup stabilizes at around the setpoint of 94C after 2 warming shots. Only problem I had was that about a week ago I had power issues at my GFCI outlet so had to replace that. Slightly off topic—that's too strange...one of our GFCIs has been tripping the past two days. It's on an outlet in the garage, and the same circuit handles the upright freezer in the basement. ...
