Guatemalan Gold

All things beans. Discussions about green and roasted coffee beans - where to purchase them, how to roast them, how best to grind them for the S1/V2/Mini/Dream/Dream T. Also, discussions about grinder and roaster hardware.

Guatemalan Gold

Post by chas »

I was talking to my wife in Guatemala last night. She is flying home today and bringing me plenty of green!

I got her hooked on coffee about the time I got the Vivaldi II. Even then I have only been able to get her to drink lattes with three squirts of caramel syrup. She told me last night about a visit to a coffee plantation. They roasted beans the old fashioned way in a big cast iron pan over an open flame. She was served straight black coffee for the first time ever and said it was absolutely delicious. She stated that now she knows what all the "chocolate" talk is about!

I hope I can do it justice with the Hottop.

reminds me of a Looney Tunes episode where Daffy Duck did a trick that only works once
...or was it Silvester?

Did you really toss out the Behmor?
