Plastic wrap your mini tank

Post by jfrescki »

After reading over time that closed tanks stay cleaner, i tried putting plastic wrap over the top of my mini tank. It's working well. No more pollen/dust floating on the water and no sliminess in between weekly cleanings.

I leave a tiny gap between the plastic and the front face of the tank so it's not air tight.

Interesting idea. I might have to try that.

Does it make such an airtight seal that it forms a vacuum when the pump starts pumping the water out of the tank? i.e. does the plastic wrap start being sucked down into the tank?
