single pour time

what is the ideal pour time for a single 8)

Singles are not the norm, I've had good ones pour anywhere between 18-23 seconds that were really flavorful.

They're just more challenging to pull off.
Everything about them seems twice the work for half the volume...the PF is harder to balance with a single spout (if you're using a single spout), the volume of grounds is an odd amount - not exactly half but a hair over should do the trick. Channelling can also be your enemy with a shallower puck if the brew pressure is too high, the list can go on..
Nevertheless, it can be pulled off and a good single can be had with a little work.
